Contract Sweeping — commercial sweeping and scrubbing, South East Queensland

Builders clean and pre-handover floor sweeping

In short

A one-off machine clean of the hard floors and hardstand before handover: construction dust and debris swept out with filtered machines, sealed floors scrubbed back to colour, and the car park and access swept so the site presents finished. Booked to your handover date across South East Queensland.

Scope

What a pre-handover clean covers

Machine sweeping a newly completed commercial floor before handover
Hard floors cleaned after trades, before the walk-through

The hard floors first: concrete dust, gyprock dust, offcuts, packaging, sand and stone, swept out with filtered machines rather than blown around. Construction dust is the finest material we deal with and the easiest to make worse with the wrong method.

Then the sealed areas. Where the floor has been sealed, coated or tiled, a scrubber lifts the film construction traffic leaves behind — the grey haze that makes a brand-new floor look second-hand. It is the single biggest visual difference on a handover clean.

Then outside: the car park, the crossover and the access road, so the approach matches the building. Tracked-out material at the gate is the first thing a client sees on the day.

Timing

Where it sits in your program

After trades are out and before the client walk-through. Machine cleaning after final trades is straightforward; cleaning before them means doing it twice.

We schedule handover work to a date, not a window, because your program has no slack at that end. If the date moves, tell us and we move with it — that is normal on a build.

For staged handovers we clean in the same sequence you are handing over, so completed areas are not re-dirtied by work still running next door.

Ongoing

What follows

Roughly half our long-term contracts began as a handover clean. Once the building is occupied the floors need a cycle, and the site is already known to us — access, surfaces and constraints are all recorded from the first visit.

We will quote the handover clean on its own with no obligation to continue. If a schedule makes sense afterwards we will say so and price it separately rather than bundling it into the handover number.

Questions we get asked

Is this the same as a builders clean?

It is the hard-floor and hardstand part of one, done with machines. Detail cleaning — glass, joinery, wet areas, fixtures — is a different trade, and we will tell you plainly that it is not what we do.

How much notice do you need?

A week is comfortable. Shorter notice works more often than not. Tell us the handover date when you first call and we will hold the slot as the program firms up.

Can you clean the car park and access as well?

Yes, and it is worth doing on the same visit. A finished building with a dirty approach reads as unfinished.

Will scrubbing damage a new sealed floor?

No. Pad grade and brush pressure are chosen for the surface, and new seals are treated more gently than a five-year-old warehouse slab. If a coating is still curing we will wait rather than risk it.

Do you work weekends for handovers?

Yes. Handover weeks routinely need weekend or night work and we plan for it.
