Material carried out of a site by truck tyres becomes the site’s problem the moment it reaches the public road. We sweep crossovers, haul road entries and the carriageway either side of the gate with truck-mounted sweepers, on a frequency matched to the phase — daily during earthworks, weekly through fit-out.

Once mud or stone is on the carriageway it is a hazard — particularly for motorcyclists and cyclists — and it is the site, not the driver, that has to remove it. In Queensland it is also the kind of thing councils receive complaints about and act on.
Reacting to that is the expensive path: an urgent callout, at short notice, at a premium rate, on the day somebody has already complained. A scheduled sweeper is the cheap end of the same problem.
The standard scope is the crossover, the internal access road, and the public carriageway for a sensible distance either side of the gate. Truck-mounted sweepers are used because the material is heavy and the hopper needs the capacity — a walk-behind is the wrong tool on a haul road.
Dust suppression runs on external work. Sweeping a dry, dusty access without it simply moves the problem into the air and onto neighbouring properties.
Where the material is wet clay rather than stone, we will say so: that is a job for other equipment, and pretending a sweeper will fix it wastes your money.
Frequency follows truck movements. An active earthworks phase can justify daily attention; a fit-out phase settles at weekly.
Keep the dates. If a complaint is ever made, being able to show a schedule and a record of attendance is a materially better position than an assurance that the site sweeps regularly.
Yes — it is one of the most common jobs we do. We sweep the crossover, the access road and the carriageway either side of the gate on whatever frequency the site traffic warrants.
We will do our best to fit an urgent visit around the scheduled runs, and Logan and Brisbane sites get same-week attention. Sites already on a cycle get priority, which is the practical argument for being on one.
Sand, gravel and stone, yes, and a truck-mounted unit has the hopper for it. Heavy wet clay or bulk spillage is a different job and we will tell you that up front.
We work to your traffic-management plan and can advise on what a sweeping run needs. Formal traffic control is arranged separately where the road environment requires it.
